As we prepare for the 2023 edition of TechCamp@POLIMI, let’s find out what the technical requirements are to participate in the courses!
Hardware requirements
First of all, it will be necessary to bring a laptop with you: not a tablet, not a smartphone, because the software we will use is only available as PC programs and not as smartphone apps.
As for the laptop itself, there are no special requirements: any mid-range laptop from recent years will suffice. Whether they are machines with Windows or GNU/Linux, or Apple Macbooks with macOS, they will most likely meet the technical requirements for the TechCamp@POLIMI 2023 courses.
Most of the Polytechnic classrooms are equipped with power sockets; some “computerized” classrooms have a socket for each seat.
Software requirements
The main requirement on the software side is to have the Office suite, whether it is the installed version or the web app, so as to follow through the slides, be able to take notes and write reports.
The other specific software that you will need for each course are indicated on the relevant pages: Coding, Cybersecurity, Intelligent and autonomous vehicles, Robotics, Race Car Dynamics and Green Energy.
University Wi-Fi connection
In all the classrooms of the Politecnico and around the University you can use the PoliMi Wi-Fi connection. You can activate the connection by following the instructions on the ICT portal.
