GIAN PAOLO INCREMONA

Gian Paolo Incremona was born in Comiso (RG) on February 18, 1988. He was a student at the Almo Collegio Borromeo in Pavia and attended the Science and Technology class at the Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori (IUSS) of Pavia. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (with honors) in Electrical Engineering in 2010 and 2012 at the University of Pavia, where he also earned his PhD in Electronic, Computer, and Electrical Engineering in 2016. After completing his PhD, he worked as a research fellow at the Laboratory of Identification and Control of Dynamical Systems at the University of Pavia. From October to December 2014, he spent a research and collaboration period with the Dynamics and Control group at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at the Politecnico di Milano. Gian Paolo Incremona’s research focuses on variable structure control and optimal control. His work covers topics such as sliding mode control, predictive control, switched systems, railway vehicle control, industrial robotics, and power systems.
