Regulation TECHCAMP

ART. 1 – DESCRIPTION OF THE TECHCAMP
TECHCAMP is an initiative of the Politecnico di Milano provided by the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”) and is held within the premises of the Politecnico di Milano.
The TECHCAMP initiative is part of the University's educational offering and consists of a technology campus organized into several weekly sessions starting from June 15th until June 26th, 2026, as further specified in the following ART. 3. The courses take place from Monday to Friday and are aimed at secondary school students who have completed their second year if the study plan is a five-year one, alternatively, by those who have completed their first year, if the study plan is a four-year one.
This initiative will take place at the Leonardo (Città Studi) and Bovisa university campuses, and at the Lecco campus (hereinafter referred to as the "Structure"). TECHCAMP is open to students from all secondary schools throughout Italy and abroad, as well as international students from schools equivalent to secondary schools, for a maximum of 500 students.
All TECHCAMP classes have limited places to ensure the validity and effectiveness of the activities themselves.
It is not possible to enroll in courses that have already started.

ART. 2 – REGULATION
These regulations are essential for admission, registration, and participation in TECHCAMP. All participants (hereinafter referred to as "Students" in the plural or "Student" in the singular) accept the contents and undertake to observe them.
Any occasional attendees, authorized companions of participating Students, and legally authorized representatives of minors must also abide by and respect these regulations, accepting them from now on.

ART. 3 – TECHCAMP COURSES

Information material, the program, and the course calendar are available on the website https://techcamp.polimi.it/
Each student may participate in one or more courses, in multiple editions.
At the end of the course, students who have attended at least 80% of the lessons will receive a certificate of participation.
Courses run from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
The lunch break will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, a period during which students will be autonomous, free to leave the facility and independent and will not be subject to any supervision by the TECHCAMP organizers. Therefore, accident and liability insurance coverage is not active during this time slot.
For this reason, in the case of minors, the authorization of their parents and/or legal guardian for their child and/or minor to leave the Facility independently, during the lunch break, at the end of lessons, is an essential condition for participation in TECHCAMP.
Parental authorization for minors will also be required for any travel by minors between Polytechnic campuses, as well as for visits to laboratories or other places of interest. Families will be notified of these visits in advance. Students may travel independently between campuses using public transportation.
Failure by the parent and/or legal guardian of a minor Student to provide the aforementioned authorizations will prevent the latter from participating in TECHCAMP, resulting in the impossibility of completing the registration.
Each class in each course will consist of a minimum of 25 students and a maximum of 35 students.
Each course will be held subject to a minimum of 25 participants for each class.
The Organizer reserves the right, for any educational needs, to modify the program and/or timetable of the TECHCAMP courses and to replace any teachers already indicated with experts of equal professional level, giving prompt notice.
The Organizer also reserves the right to cancel one or more editions of TECHCAMP due to force majeure and/or failure to reach the minimum number of participants.
In the event of cancellation for the aforementioned reasons, the enrolled Student will be entitled exclusively to a refund of any fees already paid, waiving from now on any further financial claims and/or compensation, of any kind.

The registration fee for each course is €800.00 (exempt from VAT pursuant to art. 10, paragraph 1, no. 20 of Presidential Decree 633/1972).
The fee will be paid upon registration with the Foundation, which is responsible for the administrative and organizational management of the project.

ART. 6 – APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION WITH EXEMPTION FROM PAYMENT

Students who have submitted, even through their parent and/or legal guardian, an application for admission to participate in TECHCAMP free of charge, as set forth in Article 6 above, will be subjected to a selection phase, at the end of which the Students admitted to participate in the TECHCAMP courses with exemption from payment of the registration fee will be identified.
The evaluation phase of the exemption applications is expected in April 2026.
When submitting the exemption application, the Student must:
• fill out an online letter of motivation for participating in the course, no longer than 2,000 characters, including spaces;
• attach a copy of the final report card for the 2024/2025 academic year;
• attach a copy of the Student's identity document and, in the case of a minor Student, also that of the parent or legal guardian;
• attach a copy of the family ISEE, if less than €40,000.00.
The documentation submitted during the exemption request phase will be evaluated by the TECHCAMP organizer, in agreement with the Technical Scientific Committee (hereinafter “CTS”), specifically appointed by the University.
Applications received and deemed admissible, as they contain all the required documentation, will be awarded a total score of up to 20 points, based on the following criteria:
• average of the final report card grades for the 2024/2025 academic year (from 1 to 10 points);
• cover letter (from 1 to 10 points).
Students will also be verified to ensure their ISEE is less than €40,000. Failure to submit this document will invalidate the exemption application.
At the end of the evaluation process, the organizer, in agreement with the TECHCAMP CTS and taking into account the score obtained, the possession of the income requirements, the weeks available, the preferences expressed and the availability of the courses in the individual weekly modules, will select the Students admitted to participate free of charge in the TECHCAMP courses.
The admission procedure will be based on the unquestionable decisions of the organizer and the CTS responsible for examining the applications received.
Students will be assigned to courses and weekly modules based on their ranking, subject to availability, and the order of options expressed. This does not give rise to any right to reimbursement, compensation for damages, or any other claims, for any reason or cause, in the event of failure to comply with the order of preferences indicated in the admission applications.
In the event of equal scores in the merit ranking, the exemption will be granted to the student with the lower ISEE income.
Students and the parents/legal guardians of minor Students are informed and hereby expressly agree that the CTS will evaluate exemption requests according to discretionary criteria, and agree not to raise objections regarding the decision-making process and/or decisions made by the same.
The allocation of free places made available will be reserved as a priority for students who have submitted an application for admission by March 31, 2026. Only in the event that all available places are not allocated will it be possible to evaluate any applications received after this date.
Free places will be assigned only and exclusively to students who meet both the merit and income requirements.
Students assigned a free place will be exempt from paying course fees; however, they will still be responsible for travel, board, and lodging costs.
